The Eastern Regional Youth Conference Steering Committee invites
all youth and advisors in our region to join us for an exciting
ERYC ’07! The theme, Life Quest,
is based on the scripture from Proverbs 3:4, Good News
translation. This conference will provide opportunities for
meaningful worship, challenging workshops, and Christian
fellowship. The focus is to provide youth with information to
enable them to make wise choices in their life quest.
The keynote speaker for our worship will be Roland Martinson, Professor at Luther Seminary and author of several books including Gearing Up For Youth Ministry in the 21st Century. Friday night’s start-up for the conference will include get acquainted activities, music, snacks and registration. The Saturday schedule will include worship and workshops, with special Saturday evening choices which will include Spirit Force, a drama team from Messiah College. Sunday morning will include a time for study and discussion, followed by worship. The conference will conclude with lunch. Please complete a registration form for each participant attending, and send it along with a check for registration fees. To receive the early-bird discount, send by February 23, 2007. |
WHO CAN ATTEND?Senior High Youth: Any youth who has been in at least the ninth grade during the 2006-07 school year, up to an including those who graduated in 2006.Advisors & Pastors: Local and district youth advisors, pastors, and those with a heart for youth ministry are encouraged to attend! WHAT TO EXPECT:All youth and advisors can expect to sleep on the gym floor. Consider bringing air mattresses or foam cushions to soften your sleeping area. The boys will be directed to sleep on one side of the gym and the girls on the other. Advisors are encouraged to sleep between the two. Showers are located in the locker rooms. Bring soap, towels, bedding, personal items, and a swim suit. |
